| In this paper , we report that IRAK 2 and MyD 88 , but not IRAK 1 , interact physically with Akt , as demonstrated by co immunoprecipitation and pull down experiments . ^^^ We also demonstrate that Akt activity is necessary for IL 1 dependent NF kappaB transactivation , since a kinase defective mutant of Akt impairs IRAK 2 and MyD 88 dependent , but not IRAK 1 dependent , NF kappaB activity , as monitored by a gene reporter assay . ^^^ |
